I am an experienced school leader who has spent more than twenty years improving schools across a wide range of contexts — from small rural primaries to a world-class international school, and from inner-city London federations to the independent sector. My career has been defined by a deep commitment to children’s learning, wellbeing and personal development, and by a belief that every school can be exceptional with the right culture, systems and leadership. Over the years I have served as Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, National Leader of Education (NLE), Local Leader of Education (LLE), federation leader, and Vice Principal of a large all-through international school. I have led schools through significant transformation — academically, pastorally, operationally and culturally — and have consistently delivered strong outcomes for pupils, staff and communities.
In one London school, I led the journey from underperformance to becoming an Outstanding National Teaching School, regularly appearing in the top 100 schools nationally for progress. I developed leaders who went on to become headteachers and executive headteachers, launched a professional development centre serving 60 schools, created a School Direct teacher training programme, and co-founded a Teaching School Alliance with more than 20 partner organisations.
In a major international school, I improved all academic outcomes year-on-year, strengthened reputation, expanded the roll, and served on the Executive Leadership Team of a 1600-pupil all-through school. I also led major capital developments including new libraries, STEM and ICT facilities, performance spaces, sports buildings and EYFS outdoor environments.

In my current headship, I have designed a new curriculum from the ground up, achieved year-on-year improvements in results (placing our progress in the top 250 schools nationally) and contributed to national leadership development as an NPQH facilitator for the local Teaching School Hub.
Across all roles, I have developed a reputation for strategic clarity, high expectations, emotional intelligence and an unwavering focus on what is best for children.
Beyond leadership, I am a husband, father of two teenage boys, keen cyclist and walker, musician, avid reader, and lover of travel. These aspects of my life keep me grounded, curious and connected to the world beyond school.
I believe strongly that leadership is a service — a privilege built on trust, humility and moral purpose. Whether in a large international school or a small rural primary, my aim is always the same: to inspire staff, empower children, strengthen communities and create a school where every individual feels valued, challenged and able to flourish.
